Look... No Oxygen!

(She doesn't like the flash on the camera!)
Little Leighton has done great this week! She is off of her oxygen (keep your fingers crossed), and is doing really well without it. It's been off for 3 days now... they say that's a really good sign. She is still trying to eat on her own, and that's her last hurdle! She is able to eat on her own about 3 times a day, but she's still needing a lot of help from the feeding tube. She's getting bigger and bigger, and we can't wait to get her home. The little miss isn't quite there yet, but the end is definitely in sight!!

Hey Rach! I finally found your blog! It's Red (Lori), I'm so sorry to hear about what's going on for ya! But things seem like they're looking up! I thought I'd say hello and offer a little bit of positive feedback...My little neice was also a preemie weighing 1lb. 13 oz. She was in Primary Childrens for 3 1/2 months and on oxygen for 6. But 11 years later she is doing so good! You would never guess she was a preemie. Hang in there Rach and good luck with everyting! You're in our prayers! --Lori & Jeff

Oh Rachel, she is adorable! I'm so glad that she is doing so well. She looks so perfect. She is really a miracle. You & Davis look so happy with her. Isn't it amazing how your whole world changes when these babies are born. You don't realize how much love you can have in your heart until you hold your baby.

Fry Sauce huh? That's pretty funny your memory has to do with food. Go figure...I've always loved food! Well my memory is of this one night...I think we were coming back from town or something, and we were all Crammed into Jocelyns back seat, definatly not the first time. Instead of doing the smart thing and having me sit on bottom, we had me laying across laps & we were trying to take pictures of us in the dark. I actually still have those pictures...ha ha it's funny what things get remembered! Oh and I just thought of one more...I KNOW you couldn't have forgoten this! The dance we went to were it was you, Nancy, and me with Jon, Anthony, and David? We went snowmobiling up to Island Park. When it was time for us to head back we couldn't get back up the trail. It was getting dark and we had to stay out in the Freezing cold for ever!!! Oh that was horrible, I'll never forget that!
